The Swimming Pool – Where did I get the idea?

I was on holiday in Lake Garda last year, literally standing on the edge of the hotel pool staring straight down into the water, fascinated by the shimmering ripples that almost made shapes. The thought struck me then, what a great painting this would make, if I could pull it off. Several experiments later, having used my own special fluid acrylic art technique, I finally got the result I was looking for. You can now fantasise about your own Lake Garda ‘swimming pool’, without the expense of going there.
