Description of Volcanic Inferno

This painting Volcanic Inferno was inspired by a visit to Hawaii where I witnessed an active volcano. My young grandson saw videos of it and asked if I could paint a volcano with red and yellow flames, coming out of black smoke. This is what I created.

I entered it into an international art competition which received over 1500 entries from 100 countries and Volcanic Inferno was shortlisted and went on display in a major central London public gallery.

It led to media coverage, and I even found myself being interviewed on radio trying to explain what the picture looked like.

I have just put it on the market for sale.
